what's new:
Vision-impared settings have been restored to the webcomic. Additions and some new information has been added to the Cast page. Minor modifications to the Links page.

Did you know that I have a LiveJournal page where you can (and I encourage) commenting on the comic? Well, now you do!

Don't forget to read my monthly column, "Around the BLOCKhead" in the Collectibles section of Collector Times.

Daily Webcomic Reads
These are the webcomics (and webcomic-related sites) that I check daily--even if said site isn't a daily update. Yes, they're that good. But, to quote Reading Rainbow, don't take my word for it. Here they are in alphabetical order:

Diesel Sweeties - One of the first webcomics I started reading. Diesel Sweeties has consistently brought me the funny for years.

Irregular Webcomic! - Legos, fantasy miniatures, science humor, gaming jokes and more puns than you can wave a stick at (take a bough).

PvP Online - Scott Kurtz has turned a hobby into an empire and, unlike Scott Adams has maintained a quality comic througout. There's a reason PvP is one of the best known webcomics out there.

Questionable Content - Unquestionably addictive, J. Jacques's art style is impressive and the combination of indie music references, romantic antics and humor make it the Soap of the webcomic world... except, you know, with anthropomorphic electronics instead of Billy Crystal with a ventriloquist dummy.

Real Life Comics - Since late '99, Real Life Comics has been bringing the funny in both real and quite surreal ways. Well worth looking into... and getting hooked.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal - Twistedly brilliant, SBMC is reminiscent of The Far Side... but without that nagging conscience.

Theater Hopper - Tom Brazelton's excellent comic about movies and DVDs and movies and TV and movies. Laugh-out-loud funny.

xkcd - It's mathy. It's geeky. It's simple. It's brilliant.

Other Webcomics & Related
Maybe they don't update every day, maybe they're best checked and read in bulk or maybe they've stopped updating but are still worth a look. Regardless, here are some other good webcomic and webcomic-related sites in alphabetical order:

Alien Loves Predator - New York humor, Alien and Predator how could it get any better? It's done with toys, that's how!

Exploding Dog - Not exactly a comic, Sam draws pictures based on different phrases. And those pictures are worth a thousand words.

Foxtrot - One of the few Universal Press Syndicate comics I read (and enjoy) daily, presented on the web for even easier daily chuckles.

Minimate Madness! - Though not often updated, Minimate Madness uses the Art Asylum comic book Minimates to create fourth-wall bending humor of the highest, low-brow caliber.

Reasonably Clever - More toy-based webcomics than you can shake a stick at! ...But why are you shaking sticks, anyway? Home to the Lego webcomic Brick House as well as hysterical Red Shirt Diaries and much, much more.

Sinister Bedfellows - Photographic poetry that is sometimes funny, sometimes thought-provoking, sometimes inspiring and sometimes all of the above.

Websnark - In Nomine writer Eric Burns talks about webcomics (and other things) in a way that makes reading without pictures fun again.

Yuletide - Because the holiday season is on us every day of the year! A nifty drama-comic that's well worth checking out.

It's All About The Toys
The saying is wrong. It should be "they who die with the best toys wins." Here are some sites which feature the best toys. Try to beat me, I dare you.

Collector Times - A monthly online magazine that covers all sorts of collectibles and related items. Comics, movies, toys. You can find it all here--including a monthly column by yours truly titled "Around the BLOCKhead."

Creatus Maximus - Some of the great minds of the now extinct Palisades Toys have gotten together to form Creatus Maximus. There are only a few products available so far, but because these are the Palisades guys, we're talking about some of the best toys ever released. Keep an eye on their site for more info on upcoming lines.

The Cubes - That's right, kids, now you can pretend to be an adult!

Michael Crawford's Review of the Week - Were it not for this site I'd be spending my money on all the wrong toys. Michael gives you all the goods and bads of the toy lines out there.

Minimates Central - All about Art Asylum's Minimates line, reviews photos and a plethora of good links. too.

ThinkGeek - Taking a percentage of my paycheck for the last 5 years. ThinkGeek has toys (as well as other items) for all us tech-heads out there.

TV & Film Toys - Commentary and forums about the great TV & film toys out there. But you probably guessed that from the title, didn't you?

Blogs I Read
I don't read that many blogs these days, but there are some folks who just deserve the mention. And not just because I happen to know them.

bluishorange - The person who introduced me to blogging back in '98/'99 is still at the same domain she was at over six years ago and is still an excellent read.

Gordon Wright Music - The former lead singer of Boston indie band Fooled By April has moved to Chicago and writes about his music experiences. If you're in the Chicago area be sure to check him out. Regardless of where you are, be sure to read his blog.

missaisle - She's cute, she's Australian, she writes well and she's crafty.

Other Places To Find Me
Even with the glory of RSS feeds it's almost impossible to place everything one does under a single banner. So, for the inquisitive, here's some of the other sites I hang out at and directly contribute to.

The Cape Radio - The Cape Radio is a City of Heroes (and City of Villains) radio station dedicated to the Virtue server. While I'm currently on haitus from the game and from DJing, I'm still a devoted listener.

ComicSpace - It's like MySpace... but for comic and webcomic geeks. And I am both.

DeviantArt - Sometimes I play around with Photoshop for more than just webcomics. When I do, I post those works here.

Last.fm - Want to know what I'm listening to when I'm not checking out streaming audio?

LiveJournal - Because everyone has a LiveJournal account. I didn't want to be alone.

MySpace - Because everyone else has a MySpace account, especially bands.
