With this post Attercap.Net relaunches. Not as a daily comic, but as a blog with a primary focus on Pencil and Paper RPGs. My goal will be to post something new at least once a week, be it an adventure seed, character write-up, session summary, world-building article, or product review. Currently, my planned “must post” date will be Mondays.
Many years ago, when the World Wide Web was still young (the mid to late 90’s), I wrote a monthly column for RPG.net, primarily focused on the social commentary of games. I thought about seeking a return to that site, but wanted the freedom of article type that a monthly column could not necessarily provide. I wanted the ability to post multiple time week or day if I so desired, and possibly include more life stories or the occasional return to a web comic for a post.
My library and experience of games is vast, but for the foreseeable future, this blog will likely focus on the PnP RPGs that I currently play. This includes Pathfinder, Shadowrun, In Nomine (all my older material can also be found on this site in the In Nomine section), and FATE. With FATE, I will write about The Dresden Files, Bulldogs, and a superhero campaign that I’m starting with my group in just a few days from this posting.
In the coming months, along with my written word, I plan on adding more features to the site, such as commenting, more detailed filters (as the site content grows), and a contact page so private messages and requests can be sent to me.
